Jeannette is a Clinical Mental Health Counselor licensed in Utah since 2005. Her father was an immigrant from Guatemala, of indigenous / Maya descent, and her mother from European descent. Jeannette holds a master’s degree in mental health counseling and a doctorate degree in somatic depth psychology. Her focus has been on the holistic healing of intergenerational and historical trauma through a return to indigenous cultural practices. As a therapist, Jeannette uses mind, body, and spiritual modalities, including art and movement therapies, mindfulness, Jungian, and CBT. Jeannette has worked with clients from all over the world and specializes in understanding and integrating multicultural perspectives.
Outside of work Jeannette enjoys practicing the martial art Aikido, singing and playing music, drawing, and spending time at home with family, garden, and pets.
