Alex Rice (she/her) is a dedicated nutrition professional with a passion for community health and evidence-based nutrition strategies. She holds an undergraduate degree in Kinesiology and a master’s in Nutrition and Integrative Physiology. Alex has extensive experience guiding individuals and communities toward healthier lifestyles, helping them rediscover their enjoyment in food while achieving their health goals.
Certified as a Lifestyle Coach and Intuitive Eating Counselor, Alex is equipped to lead group sessions and support individuals in building positive relationships with food and their bodies. She has also taught a Diabetes Prevention Program and played a pivotal role in piloting the University of Utah Food Pharmacy Program, which aims to improve access to healthy food for those in need.
With a patient-centered approach, Alex tailors her nutrition interventions to each individual’s unique needs and cultural preferences, emphasizing that all foods can fit within a healthy eating pattern. She takes a holistic and empathetic approach to helping people and is committed to addressing food access issues and making nutrition accessible to everyone.
Outside of her professional life, Alex enjoys trail running and finds solace in the fresh mountain air, drawing inspiration from the natural world.
