Haven Halk (she/her) is a Family Nurse Practitioner and Therapeutic Pain Specialist. Haven obtained her Master’s degree at Frontier Nursing University with a focus on Family Medicine and serving underserved and underrepresented populations. Prior to coming to Sacred Circle she worked in a Community Health Center in Price, UT for almost 6 years providing Primary Care, Substance Abuse Treatment, and Women’s Health services. After witnessing the destructiveness of Opioid Use Disorders in the community, she sought out a way to go up stream to treat pain. In this process, she became a Therapeutic Pain Specialist through Evidence In Motion and followed this training with education in Pain Reprocessing Therapy. She developed a Persistent Pain Education Program and saw excellent patient outcomes over the 3 years she offered this in Price.
Haven is compassionate and trauma informed. She knows that “What happened to you?” is a much more important question than “What is wrong with you?” She uses a biopsychosocial model of treatment with all clients, but most especially with her clients who struggle with chronic pain. Her goal is to help you become the authority for being a healthier version of yourself, building your autonomy and resilience, and increasing your life satisfaction.
Haven believes all individuals deserve high quality, compassionate, individualized medical care. She can help you with chronic and acute health problems, treat your entire family from infants to elders, provide women’s health and contraceptive services, discuss and provide preventative health care services, screen for and treat STDs and Hepatitis C infections, and she welcomes you to consider joining the Sacred Circle Pain Program to treat your chronic pain.
When Haven is not at work she enjoys playing outside in the desert and the mountains, camping, adventuring with her children, husband, and dogs and making art.
