Kristi Lawrence is a friendly and compassionate nurse practitioner serving the community of Salt Lake City, UT for over 15 years. She completed her Associate’s and Bachelor’s degrees in nursing at Weber State University. After which, she attended Indiana State University, where she earned her Master’s degree in nursing and is board certified as a Family Practice Nurse Practitioner and as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.

During her 6+ years in Family practice, Kristi discovered the unmet need in our community for mental health services. She believes in the ability for all to recover and heal, and wanted to shift her focus to mental health care to better help the patients she serves. Since becoming board certified in psychiatry she has transitioned from family to mental health care here at Sacred Circle.

Before her career as a Nurse Practitioner, Kristi did some jail time – working as an RN in the jail for several years to help incarcerated individuals find dignity and healing. She knows the difficulties people face during and after incarceration, and the impact mental illness and substance abuse have on individuals and families, and the transforming power of high-quality, compassionate, and holistic care.

When not helping others, she can be found tending to an inappropriate amount of house plants, sneaking vegetables into the meals she cooks for her family, and participating in general tree-hugging behaviors.
