Lisa Swift, DMD, was raised in Anchorage, Alaska. Later, she moved to Utah to further her education. As a graduate of Westminster College in Salt Lake City, Utah, she obtained her degree in biology while competing on the women’s national collegiate snowboarding team. Dr. Swift received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Roseman University School of Dental Medicine in Utah.
While a third-year dental student, Dr. Swift spent the summer in the interior region of Alaska providing mobile dental care to the indigenous population living in remote villages. Access to the villages required flying on bush planes and packing portable dental equipment to provide patient-focused care. This experience cultivated Dr. Swift’s passion for tribal health dentistry.
After dental school, Dr. Swift returned to serve the indigenous communities of Southeast Alaska. After nearly two years of dedicated dental care in Alaska, she returned to Utah to be closer to family. Dr. Swift is excited to continue her passion for tribal health dentistry at Sacred Circle Healthcare.
