Melissa is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and a Registered Art Therapist. She brings over a decade of experience to her practice and has a long history of working with people who have experienced trauma and substance use disorders. Her experience spans a broad spectrum of mental health disorders, gained from working in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Melissa has dedicated much of her career to working with those who have been marginalized.
Melissa is passionate about understanding each client’s unique context, needs, and experiences. She takes a person-centered, collaborative approach and is committed to creating a non-judgmental environment where clients feel empowered and understood. Melissa is trained in EMDR therapy and believes in trauma-informed care. As an art therapist, she believes in the transformative power of art therapy for growth, insight, healing, and emotional exploration. Melissa deeply values the healing power of the therapeutic relationship, recognizing it as a cornerstone of effective therapy.
Outside of her work, Melissa enjoys spending time with loved ones, her dog, nature, baking, and creating art.
